Agnes Moffitt Park – 18 holes
West Houston. Near the southeast corner of Beltway 8 and Hammerly. The course starts near the basketball courts. Popular course, with regular league play and much tournament activity. Free Public course. DiscCatcher baskets.

 

Bear Branch Park – 18 holes
The Woodlands. 26 miles north of Houston. On Research Forest Dr. approx. 3 1/4 miles west of I-45 North (just past Gosling), at the Bear Branch Sportsfield Park. Go through the gate near the pool. 1st hole is between the middle soccer fields west of the path leading to pond. Free Public course. Mach3 baskets.

 

BridgePoint Bible Church – 6 holes
West Houston. SE corner of I-10 & Memorial View, 1/4 mile West of Eldridge. May be accessed just south of the church from Memorial Drive or from the east-bound Katy Fwy frontage road. Mostly flat, moderately wooded. Enjoyable to play. Requires accuracy to get a birdie.

 

Buffalo Bayou Park (Jim Mozola Memorial Course) – 9 holes
Near Downtown/Montrose/Heights area. From Downtown take Walker to Sabine Street Bridge on your right. From the west take Memorial Dr. and turn right onto the Sabine Street Bridge. From I-45 take Allen Parkway exit then a quick right at Sabine Street and go over the bridge. Course begins near the path just west of the bridge. Park on the street – NO parking on the bridge. Burke-Crenshaw Park – 9 holes
Pasadena. From Houston take I-45 South to Beltway 8 North. Exit Genoa-Red Bluff (Last free exit). Take a left at 1st light then a right at the stop sign (Burke Rd.) The park is on the left. Free Public course. DiscCatcher baskets.

 

Cedar Brook Elementary – 9 holes
West Houston. Located one block west of Bingle, at the intersection of Hammerly & Ojeman. Tee #1 is located near the street at the North end of the parking lot. Free Public course. DiscCatcher baskets.  Course closed to public during school hours.

 

Clinton Park – 9 holes
East Houston. From 610 East, go west on Clinton Dr. for about 5 blocks. Then turn right on Mississppi and cross under the 610 freeway, the park is on the left. Course map and tee #1 are located at the west end of the parking lot. Free Public course. DiscCatcher baskets.

 

Clute Park – 9 holes
Clute. South of Houston, about 50 miles down 288 South. Take a left on Plantation. Take a right on Dixie Drive. Take a right on Brazoswood Drive. The park is past the high school, behind the church with the big steeple. Free Public course. DiscCatcher baskets.

 

Nottingham Park – 12 holes
From I-10 West, take the Kirkwood exit and turn left on Kirkwood. Take a right on Kimberley to Country Place. Course begins near the baseball field. Free Public course.

 

Dodson Lake Park – 9 holes
North Houston. Take I-45 North and exit at Laura Koppe and take a right (East). Go one block, then take a left (North) on Dodson. Look for the park on the right. Free Public course.

 

Glenshire Park – 9 holes
Southwest Houston. On the feeder road on the East side of Beltway 8/ South of 59. Make a U-turn at West Airport and enter the park from the feeder near Riceville School Rd. The park entrance is small and not easy to see. Walk into the park and find the course. Free Public course.

 

Jack Brooks Park (Hitchcock) – 18 holes
South of Houston. South of I-45S on FM2004. Park entrance is located across from the elementary school. Free Public course.

 

Jackson Hill – 9 holes
Inside Loop 610. Unofficial object course, not permanently marked. Located at northeast corner of Memorial Dr. and Waugh Dr. Free Public course.

 

Mason Park – 18 holes
Sotheast Houston. From Downtown go south on I-45. Take exit and go east (left) at Woodridge. Turn north (left) at Garland. Garland becomes S. 57th. The park is on the right a few blocks north of Lawndale. Free Public course.

 

MacGregor Park – 9 holes
Southeast Houston inside Loop 610. From Downtown go south on I-45. Exit and go west (right) on Wayside/Old Spanish Trail (O.S.T.). The park is on the north side of O.S.T. at M.L.K. Blvd. Free Public course

 

Memorial Drive Baptist Church Course – 6 holes

This 9 hole course wraps around the south side of the church property. Pine trees and grass, well maintained, very nice area of town.  Memorial Drive Baptist Church 325 N. Piney Point Rd, Houston, TX 77024.   Course opened Oct. 25, 2009. Free Public course

 

Oak Meadow (Blackhorse) – 18 holes
Open ONLY to residents. They were allowing the public on weekdays, but not any more. MachII baskets.

 

Rice University – 9 holes
Rice University Campus. Next to the Track & Field Stadium, visible from Main Street. Easiest access currently is from University Drive. Permanent baskets are not really accesable, as the biology department is using the field for a “natural” area. New course is supposed to be built in 2011.

 

T.C. Jester Park – 9 holes
Northwest Houston. From 610N take West T.C. Jester north. After crossing W. 34th and the railroad tracks, park on the right, course begins near the pool. Free Public course.

 

Tom Bass Regional Park – Two 18 hole courses
Pearland. South of Houston. SW corner of 288 and Beltway 8. One course starts just behind the tennis courts, the other starts near the pavillion at the SW corner of the park. Free Public course.

 

Windwood Presbyterian Church  – 18 holes
Cypress. Take 249 (Tomball Parkway) to Spring Cypress Rd. Go East for about 1/2 a mile. Church is on the right. If you go Mon-Fri before 5pm, get a map and check in at the front office. There is a school on site and the sheriff will escort you off the property immediately if you do not sign in first. The course opens on Sundays AFTER 12:00 noon. Mach II baskets. Free Public course.

 

Wortham Trail  – 9 holes
Cypress. Take 290 North and exit at Hwy6 (FM1960) and turn right. Then take a left on Wortham. The park is down about a 1/4 mile on the right. Not much parking as there isn’t a parking lot. Sign says “Residents Only”, but that might be for the walking track. Flat course. Long grass makes tall socks or pants a must. Grass is tall and it’s easy to lose a disc. DisCatcher baskets.
